About Me, the Chef

I am Maasai, a personal chef from NYC who first moved to Mexico when I was 19 and has continued to live abroad off and on since 2016, and my travels have shaped the recipes from the many dishes I eaten and enjoyed in NYC, Europe, Central and South America, Asia, the Caribbean, fusion cuisines and classic American favorites. The chef's family is from the south, but she was born and raised in New York City, and is now also considered an Angeleno, after living in Los Angeles for over 20 years. Lastly, I'm also a fine artist (a designer and abstract painter).

I have been interested in the culinary arts since my early 20's when I discovered my natural talent and gift in cooking and creating tasty dishes. As a chef I bring my creative imagination and various cuisine experience together to prepare tasty and reasonably healthy dishes (always striving to use the healthiest ingredients available) at an affordable cost for a private chef service.
